A Group of Photographers and Amdavadis came with an innovative idea in 2012. The idea was to share the beauty of various places with help of talented photographers(Instagramers) of the city. Name of Group is Instagram Ahmedabad.

Amdavad ni Guffa (cave) is an underground art gallery where world renowned M F Hussain’s paintings are exhibited. Ahmedabad ni Guffa is also called Hussain- Doshi Guffa as it was designed by the well known architect Balkrishna Doshi. Zen, an open air café has been set up around the shell shaped protruded top portion of the Guffa in the proximity of Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology (CEPT).

Then and now… The Juma Masjid from c.1170 is one among the oldest surviving mosques in India. A picture > of a slideshow > of a painting nearly 300 years ago shows two minarets which collapsed shortly after in a major earthquake losing the top 3 levels.
