Now Driving Licences, Vehicle RCs Can Now Be Accessed Online Using DigiLocker No Need To Carry Driving Licence, RC Anymore
What do you carry always on your person?
Your driving license and your registration copy. All those who drive always carry it around in case some cop asks for it at any given time. Well, you won’t have to in the near future.
The Government of India will be launching Digilocker+, a new system which will eliminate the need for drivers to carry all the required documents every time with them.
What is Digilocker+ you ask? This system will let you save the soft copies of all your vehicle-related documents. All you have to do is open an account and upload!
In the DigiLocker+ app, all the documents will be secured and one can also access the information via their smartphone from anywhere.
The service was launched by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Ravi Shankar Prasad in New Delhi. You can now use DigiLocker app at all the places, including ticketing counters, and even if caught by the traffic police.

DigiLocker+ will initially be introduced in Delhi and Telangana first, where traffic police officials already issue e-challans.
In case there is any traffic violation, the traffic police will get all the information on the vehicle as well as the driver.
